  • Anticipated.io Overview

Scheduling events in software development has always been a task teams need to devote time to by either reinventing the wheel or embracing a 3rd party system. Scheduling systems are available throughout the development ecosystem today: AWS SQS, RabbitMQ just to name a few. The problem with these systems is you cannot set the events by calendar date or you can but the costs are unacceptable at scale. With anticipated.io you get a calendar-triggered, single event system that scales with your demand. You only pay for events you create and trigger. You can choose to use JSON events, XML events or even communicate with Amazon SQS.

The anticipated.io scheduler can be communicated with via the JSON-based REST API. There is also a web-based interface system to view current events (or specific events) and view event details including responses from the notified systems.
